My name is Barbora (Bára for short) – but in the art world you’ll find me as Baroo Bloom. Baroo is a playful spin on my name, and Bloom celebrates my favorite source of inspiration: flowers.  My mission is simple: to make the world a little brighter, one brushstroke at a time.

I grew up in Prague and moved to Spain in my twenties — first to live and work, and eventually to study graphic design, turning a long-held passion into a profession. Later I settled in Vienna, where I also completed a Master’s in Art History. Graphic design has remained the foundation of my career, while art history gave me a broader perspective on how we see and experience art. That mix of cultures and disciplines shaped my style: vibrant, playful, and always with a twist of humor.

Today, I split my creativity between two worlds that complement each other perfectly. As a Creative Director at an advertising agency in Vienna, I help clients across many fields — developing concepts, building visual worlds, and turning ideas into memorable design. As Baroo Bloom, I get to create with full freedom: my own colors, my own aesthetic, my own joy. It’s this combination that makes my illustrations not only bold and personal, but also ready to connect with people wherever they appear.

My favorite color? Pink, always. My favorite challenge? Turning ideas into art that makes people smile.
